Over the past few weeks you have had to have heard all the rage about the new movies that have recently come out. Daddy’s Home 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Wonder are just a few of the movies people are talking about.

Over the course of two weeks, Thor: Ragnarok was number one in the box offices and brought in $650.1 million from ticket sales worldwide. During the events in the movie, Thor ends up getting knocked off the intended track to his home, Asgard, while trying to save it from being destroyed by an evil ruler and is now on an unfamiliar planet. During his time on this planet, he is forced to battle his lifelong friend, The Hulk, in order to find a way back home. Once that problem is solved, he returns home and continues to engage in a battle to save Asgard.

Daddy’s Home 2 is a close second to Thor: Ragnarok in the box offices. Daddy’s Home 2 is all about a family Christmas trip. However, this is not your typical family, nor is it your typical Christmas. This family struggles to get along for the week long trip they decided to go on in the mountains. From cutting down cell phone towers, to fighting over the thermostat, they did nothing but argue. After spending several days at the cabin, they pack up their bags and begin to head home. However, a giant avalanche had blocked the roads forcing them to stop at the closest building for shelter. While there, they learn the true meaning of Christmas and begin to celebrate as a loving family.

Lastly, Wonder. Wonder is a touching story that has taught people all over that it’s what’s on the inside that matters. Born with facial deformities, Auggie Pullman had just started public school entering into the fifth grade. After being bullied and mistreated by whom he once thought was his friend, he confides in a social group and meets a girl named Summer. Summer becomes a close friend and sticks up for Auggie when needed. Teaching multiple life lessons, Wonder was a hit movie. To wrap up the year, there are several sequels that will be released later on in December. On December 15th, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released. Later on, on the 20th, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle will start showing in theaters. Lastly, to end the year on a good note, Pitch Perfect 3 will be released on December 22nd.
