Who will win the MVL for volleyball this year? While it may be too early to tell who will be victorious, all teams are striving toward that goal. Any MVL team has a chance to win, but they’re all also beatable. In the heat of the moment, as time is running out, it just depends on which team gives its all to claim their victory.
“I anticipate that Sheridan and John Glenn will be competing for the MVL title this season. Other teams to watch are Maysville and Tri-Valley. Both of these teams have new coaches so we will be watching to see how their players respond to new expectations,” stated Coach Christie McGee.
The Lady Muskies are a hard working team with the goal to improve each and every game. Any team that practices for three hours with no complaint loves the game and will do anything to be on the court.
“Tri-Valley and Sheridan are going to be tough this year, but we are still going to be a force to be reckoned with. Coach has been pushing us hard, and I know we will finish this season stronger than we started,” stated senior Lauren Sherry.
Their record so far is 5-2. The Lady Muskies have had a loss against Sheridan in a MVL game, as well as a loss against Hilliard Bradley, a D1 school. The records for the MVL schools are: Maysville 3-2, Sheridan 5-1, Crooksville 2-2, West Muskingum 2-4, Tri-Valley 2-2, New Lex 2-3, and Philo 2-5.
“I definitely think we can win the MVL. We just have to continue to work hard and play smart every match,” stated junior Jenna Babcock.
Throughout the season, the Lady Muskies will continue to better themselves and push each other to give their all. To claim the MVL title, they must continue to dedicate themselves to the game. Every practice counts. Every second of the game matters. When it comes down to it, the winner will be the team who gives their all. Who will win the MVL? Only time will tell.
